In light of Dior's Resort Collection 2016, attention has been focused upon Pierre Cardin's Palais des Bulles. In recent years, I have had the pleasure of spending every summer with my close friends in the South of France, more specifically in Theoule-sur-Mer. The Bubble Palace was always a point of conversation and something quite distant to us - "And up there is the Pierre Cardin's, it's the Bubble House". You could only ever see the top of the house in the hills, thus remaining a mystery. However, the same bubble house has sister properties scattered around Theoule, making it a part of a collection of Bubble Palaces. It was not until Dior decided to showcase their collection there, that has brought huge attention to the fabulously designed palace. Designed by Hungarian architect Antti Lovag, the house is definitely influenced by the 80's sci-fi aesthetic and was the perfect backdrop for the 2016 collection.
